We are very excited to offer the following scholarships to our Camp Programs! (Deadline to apply is April 30.)

Young people have great power to change the world through their idealism, creativity,  bravery and their innate artistic abilities.

The Summer Theatre Camp of Montclair supports the artistic power of young people. We know that youthful artistic power can change the world for the better.

One full and one half scholarship to the 4 Week Main Stage Program

Five $150 scholarships toward all other camp programs.

Application is straightforward. Read and follow the instructions below.

Teens and Tweens (8-11) (12-17)

1. Write a 200 word essay on how you seek to use your art to better the world.
2. Within the essay, explain how your involvement in our Camp Programs will benefit you in your journey as either an artist or citizen of the world.
3. Within the essay, explain what special qualities you will bring to our camp program to share to benefit your fellow camp participants.
4. Have an opening and closing statement.
5. At the top of the essay, put your name, teen/tween’s name and age, school she/he attends, phone number and email address, and, very importantly, the camp program for which you are applying.
6. Email to Mary Ann Riel no later than April 30 at maryann@stagekids.us
7. Call Mary Ann Riel with any questions regarding scholarships.

Little Summer Stars (Ages 5-7)

Parents of a participant between the ages of 5-7, you can apply for a scholarship for your child.

1. You can engage your child in the essay you are writing on her/his behalf by asking A) how Acting Camp will benefit her/him and B. how he/she will use his/her special abilities (example: kindness, sense of humor) to make the camp special for everyone.
2. Feel free to add any aspect of your child’s personality that you think is an asset to her/him, the world and our camp!

3. At the top of the essay, put your name, your child’s name and age, school she/he attends, your phone number and email address, and, very importantly, the camp program for which you are applying for your child.

4. Email to Mary Ann Riel no later than April 30 at maryann@stagekids.us
