We are very excited to offer the following scholarships to our Camp Programs!<\/strong> (Deadline to apply is April 30.)<\/p>\n

Young people have great power to change the world through their idealism, creativity, \u00a0bravery and their innate artistic abilities.<\/p>\n

The Summer Theatre Camp of Montclair supports the artistic power of young people. We know that youthful artistic power can change the world for the better.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One full and one half scholarship to the 4 Week Main Stage Program<\/p>\n

Five $150 scholarships toward all other camp programs.<\/p>\n

Application is straightforward. Read and follow the instructions below.<\/p>\n

Teens and Tweens (8-11) (12-17)<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Write a 200 word essay on how you seek to use your art to better the world.<\/li>\n
  2. Within the essay, explain how your involvement in our Camp Programs will benefit you in your journey as either an artist or citizen of the world.<\/li>\n
  3. Within the essay, explain what special qualities you will bring to our camp program to share to benefit your fellow camp participants.<\/li>\n
  4. Have an opening and closing statement.<\/li>\n
  5. At the top of the essay, put your name, teen\/tween’s name and age, school she\/he attends, phone number and email address, and, very importantly, the camp program for which you are applying.<\/li>\n
  6. Email to Mary Ann Riel no later than April 30 at maryann@stagekids.us<\/li>\n
  7. Call Mary Ann Riel with any questions regarding scholarships.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Little Summer Stars (Ages 5-7)<\/p>\n

    Parents of a participant between the ages of 5-7, you can apply for a scholarship for your child.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. You can engage your child in the essay you are writing on her\/his behalf by asking A) how Acting Camp will benefit her\/him and B. how he\/she will use his\/her special abilities (example: kindness, sense of humor) to make the camp special for everyone.<\/li>\n
    2. Feel free to add any aspect of your child’s personality that you think is an asset to her\/him, the world and our camp!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      3. At the top of the essay, put your name, your child’s name and age, school she\/he attends, your phone number and email address, and, very importantly, the camp program for which you are applying for your child.<\/p>\n

      4. Email to Mary Ann Riel no later than April 30 at maryann@stagekids.us<\/p>\n

      5. Call Mary Ann Riel with any questions regarding scholarships.<\/p>\n
